G03 - Gong/Chimes

G03 was operated by the East German NVA and was transmitted from Zeesen. The callsign featured a somewhat sinister recording of gongs/bells that were recorded onto tape, which stretched overtime and resulted in later broadcasts having a noticeable wobble. The final transmission featured what were possibly the drunk officers singing the classic "Alle meine Entchen" before the station shut down, shortly before the German unification.

G03 ceased operation in May 1990.
